Amanda consults from the St Kilda & Essendon clinics.
Amanda has been practising as a physio since 2012 and has a wealth of experience to get you back from injury better and stronger than before.
Amanda is passionate about using the most current evidence to diagnose, treat and prevent injuries through assessing contributing factors, so you know you are you are in great hands. She is currently completing a Masters in Sport and Exercise Physiotherapy via La Trobe university.
Amanda is very experienced in assessing patients with complex sporting injuries, or where your injury has not healed within expected timeframes.
Amanda takes the time to really understand the complex interactions between your physical complaints, and all the physical, lifestyle and other factors that can contribute to your concerns. If you have a more 'complex' issue, a 1 hour initial appointment is highly recommended.
Amanda also has a special interest in supporting women and their physical activity goals during pregnancy and in the few years following pregnancy. She is up to date with current world guidelines in exercising and maintaining physical activity during and after pregnancy.
Amanda is also an interventional physiotherapist for The Super Knee Study, which is a La Trobe University research project investigating rehabilitation following ACL injuries. This allows her to stay ahead of the curve, so you can benefit from the most up to date treatment and rehabilitation options.
Utilising the strength testing and return to sport testing that we have onsite is a core component of Amanda diagnostic skillset, so you know you are getting assessed and treated, just like the pros do.
Amanda has been the VFLW Head Physiotherapist at Essendon Football Club in 2023, after working previously at Carlton and the Western Bulldogs. Amanda also is passionate about netball, and is currently working with both the Victorian Open Men's and Australian Men's Under 23 Teams.
In the past, Amanda was a physiotherapist for the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games in 2018 and is a Rowing Australia Accredited Preferred Provider. She also had extensive experience in NBL1 basketball and hockey.
Amanda represented her home state of South Australia in Rowing and both Western Victoria and Victoria in Netball, so she understands the demands on athletes and what they go through to perform.
Amanda likes treating a diverse range of patients from all ability levels and loves to champion mum's returning post-partum, teens returning from injury or even just keeping fit in your later years.
