S&C Gym Membership FAQs
Do I need to be injured to join?
Not at all. Many members come with no injury history — they simply want better results with expert guidance. If you are currently injured, we recommend starting with a physio assessment so we can integrate your rehab with your training from day one.
How is this different from a regular gym like big commercial 24/7 gym?
Unlike commercial gyms, your membership includes professional S&C coaching, physiotherapy oversight, VALD strength testing, four Foundation onboarding sessions, and regular program reviews. You are not left to figure it out yourself.
What does my membership actually get me?
Everything: Foundation Sessions 1–4 (private, 45 min each), 1x Group S&C Classes, VALD Test + 8-week Review Sessions, and Open Gym Access. One direct debit. No extras. The 1:1 private coaching session is separate and optional.
Can I join while still seeing a physio?
Yes — and this is one of the genuine strengths of training at Melbourne Sports Physiotherapy. Your physio and S&C coach communicate directly. Your program is modified around any treatment you're receiving. The transition from rehab to performance is seamless, not a hand-off between strangers.
Is there a lock-in contract?
No long-term lock-in after your 4 week foundation sessions. You then roll onto week by week. Cancel anytime after week 4, as we trust you'll love it.
Memberships are renewed on a weekly direct debit, ongoing basis
Memberships can be paused for a minimum of 7 days, with no maximum hold period.
Cancellation can be made at any time (after initial 4 weeks) and will take effect at the end of the weekly billing period.
Membership upgrades or downgrades can be made at any time.
How does the money back guarantee work for S&C training services?
If you're not happy with our level of service, please call or email us within 24 hours of your session, and you'll receive your money back. This is limited to 1 week of membership. To be super clear if you've trained for 6 weeks with us, then decide you want your money back in week 6, you'll receive your payment for week 6 back, not the first 5 weeks, as you've used this service and not advised us earlier.
The guarantee covers your active participation — come in, put in the work, and if you're not happy with our service within 24 hours of any session, we'll refund that week. Simple.
