Lia consults from the St Kilda & Essendon clinics.
Lia Evans is an experienced physiotherapist with experience in multiple sports, trauma orthopaedics, neurology and intensive care, which gives her a well rounded knowledge base to help you improve your injury.
Lia will help you get better by utilising functional analysis, exercise prescription and manual techniques in order to be best help rehabilitate you back to full function as quick as possible.
Additionally, Lia is expedition medic trained and is an advocate for preventative physiotherapy, employing injury prevention, logistical considerations, and psychological factors to enable athletes to achieve their goals.
In addition to her senior role in the NHS, Lia has been involved in several extreme athletic projects and has a particular interest in endurance sports.
In 2024, Lia was part of a World Record-breaking crew that completed GB Row Challenge, considered the world's toughest rowing race. The team rowed continuously and unsupported for 49 days around the entire British coastline, covering over 2,000 miles while collecting crucial environmental data for marine research.
Lia is fun and flexible, derived from crewing for ultra-marathons and utilising her own hockey, rowing and triathlon knowledge to prescribe unique and creative exercises targeted to improve self-awareness and performance, within the rehabilitation journey.
