Running Assessments
Jeroen consults from the St Kilda clinic.
Jeroen is the man to see if you have a running type injury, or just need a really good physio for for injuries in the lower limb, ranging from ankle sprains, soft tissue (muscular) injuries, hip and knee pain to post-surgery physiotherapy.
He also has a particular interest in concussion treatment and temporomandibular (jaw) dysfunctions.
Central in his treatment focus is a holistic approach, where he combines expert level assessment and rehab programming with hands-on therapy.
Having sustained too many running injuries himself, and knowing how it feels not to be able to practice the sport you love, Jeroen soon became interested in rehabilitation and physiotherapy.
In 2014, he graduated with a Master's in Rehabilitation Sciences and Physiotherapy, so has many years of experience to help find the perfect recovery plan for you.
He then further obtained a postgraduate degree in manual therapy at the same university and then studied to become a certified Neurokinetic therapist (NKT) in various parts of the world, a treatment focused on restoring muscule imbalances in the body.
Originally from Belgium, Jeroen worked in various physio clinics in his home country before he made the move to New Zealand. There he had his own practice for about 3 years before making the move to Melbourne.
Running has always been a passion of Jeroen, and so far, he has completed 8 marathons, including the Melbourne marathon, with a PB 2 hours, 32 minutes and 11 seconds. If you're a runner, he'll know exactly what you're talking about when it comes to injuries and performance.
In 2026, Jeroen spent 13 days running 500km along parts of the front line of World War I, so he knows what it takes to get your body firing on all cylinders.
Jeroen's special interests include:
- Recovering from running injuries
- Knee issues
- Hip complaints
- Ankle sprains and strains
- TMJ (jaw) dysfunctions
- Concussion recovery
